NEWS!!!

Congratulations to KenZ Rouse who showed at the State Fair horse show in September and did very well with Sly! She showed in her first big reining classes and won a Reserve Championship! She also won the Youth Quarter Horse Type Western Class and the Youth Quarter Horse Type Hunter Class (she decided to try Hunter Pleasure at this show for fun and did so well!) She also got 2nd in her equitation class of 14! So proud Mackensie and Sly! Good Job!

Congrats to Beth for winning the adult division of the ACTS classes!  Marissa also showed in the last ACTS classes in September and did very well on Tess! She had her best class of the WHOLE year on Tess at that show and we are so proud of her and how she has stuck to it this year and grown! Maleya showed Dustee and they too had the best class of the year! Both Marissa and Maleya finished in the top ten for their age divisions! As well as Kenz and Aaryn. *For all those who participated in the ACTS classes this year- Awards will be given out at the Utah Arabian Horse Club awards Banquet in January or February. I will keep you posted!

The Vista Farms Fun Show was a huge success! With 20 riders it could have been chaotic, but will all the willing hands it ran smoothly and everyone did so well! It was the very FIRST show for 12 of those students, and I think they all enjoyed it!

Aubrie and her family made the hard decision to sell Dot, and were blessed to find a wonderful home with a lady that will love her and take good care of her! Aubrie will start back in to reining lessons and hopes to enter the reining show ring again next year! We are excited to see her progress and to see her do some conditioning and tuning up on our reiners as well as possibly some training on Shaman and Picasso.

Speaking of Picasso… He is coming along quite nicely! Thank you to Aubrie for all her help with him as well as the girls who have helped me with mauling him as well as ground work and even gotten on and ridden him around a couple times!

Please be aware:

Parents- We have had several things go missing from our tackroom namely spurs. Spurs are the kinda pokey metal things that students wear on their boots to help the horse along. It is really easy to forget that the student is wearing them and to go home with them still on their boot. Can you all please check at home to see if you have a pair laying around? If they are not returned and things like this continue to go missing, I will not be able to continue to provide these things for students and will require that students purchase and bring their own. Please help me out with this.

I will be updating my Policies and Procedures. I will email everyone a copy as well as have a printed copy with a signature page- at the barn for you to read over and sign. Policies that will be mentioned will be effective once signed.

We have had several new students start!! We are so happy to have them be a part of the team! If you see someone you don’t know, please say hi!
