So SOO excited to have Aubrie and Beth Pinvises teaching! They are a great addition to Oak Haven! When you see them be sure to say hello, and especially if you meet any of their new clients!
Congrats to McCall, Aubrie, KenZ and ShelB for their success at the state fair horse show! Kammi also had great rides but unfortunately, due to the weather, was unable to show.
The State Fair horse show this year was very special to me! I cannot express how proud of my students and even more so, our amazing horses that rose to the occasion of the show. They put up with A LOT! There was not even a single complaint despite the rancid weather. They even cancelled our reining classes that we have been working on for over a year, and everyone remained positive! In fact on several nights I left the fairgrounds literally giddy because of the joy and privilege I felt from working with the amazing clients and students I have. I’ll never forget the laughter as well as the selfless service that EVERY SINGLE ONE of my students AND their parents/ grandparents gave not only to me but especially to one another. We truly worked as a team and no bad weather could beat us down!
This month marks 1 year of being on my own! I am so grateful I made the decision, and am even more appreciative to each of you for your support!
HERE ARE SOME IMPORTANT UPCOMING DATES-
October 9th – 4:00 to 5:30– OHPH Craft Activity AT THE BARN (Rescheduled from July)- We will be making custom Horse Journal/Notebooks. We will have photos, stickers and more for your notebook! Cost is $12 and is due at your lesson this week.
October 17th– Vista Halloween Fun Show. This show is SO fun! Spots are filling up quick! If you would like to come please let me know! Show fees are due 1 week prior to the show… so this week… at your lesson or Friday at the craft activity. Talk to me if you have any questions.
November 8th– 9:00-12:00 OHPH Game Day. We will be playing various games both ON and off the horses. Games include red light green light, barrels, road cone race, wheel barrow races and more!! Cost is $20
November 8th-5:00-9:00 UAHC Youth Auction. Cost is $5/person or $15 per family. If you have interest in buying horse stuff or anything else, this is a FUN night complete with dinner as well as fun items up for auction. Let’s get a big group and go together!!!?? RSVP to me so I can get a head count. You won’t regret going.
December 5th– OHPH 1st anniversary and Christmas party- More details to come! I’m giving you this date early so that you can reserve it in your calendar. No excuse not to be there 😉
This months’ students of the month:
Marissa- Marissa is a newer student that started in the August! Even though she might be new at OHPH, she is quickly making friends! This girl is a hard worker and always comes to her lessons ready to learn! She has fallen in love with Tess and is excited to be competing this month in her first horse show- The Vista Halloween Fun Show! She is very skilled and so that paired up with her work ethic, she is going to go far and fast!
Aaryn- I think everyone knows Aaryn! She also started in August and quickly decided the barn is where she wanted to be! Since starting she has spent countless hours at the barn helping and learning all she can! She has also spent extra hours on the weekends helping to get ready and unpack for the State Fair show (though she didn’t even show!) She came to the show Friday and was at my side ready to help with anything we needed! Aaryn is truly selfless and loves to learn and be helpful!
I’m so proud of these two and love them both! When you see these girls be sure to tell them congrats!!
